Jas Phillips

Hey! I’m Jas, and I have recently joined the teaching team at the Gnurad-Gundidj Campus. My journey to Gnurad-Gundidj started as a student back in 2015, where I experienced first-hand the transformative nature of the program. The activities and experiences throughout the program instilled a love for the outdoors and a passion for building and belonging to communities.

I was inspired to study a Master of Applied Learning and Teaching, where I could help guide and educate young people. I am excited and determined to help provide all students who arrive at Gnurad-Gundidj with a fulfilling and rich experience that allows them to explore their identity, support their wellbeing, and grow into aspiring individuals.

The role at Gnurad-Gundidj allows me to combine my love for outdoor activities, such as hiking, camping, surfing, canoeing, and mountain biking, with education. I am thrilled to contribute to such a special place for young people, where they find friends, new experiences, and opportunities to challenge themselves, build resilience, and create lasting memories.
