Dani Willis

Hi I am Dani. I was one of the pioneering staff at Gnurad Gundidj back in 2009. I was first drawn to the School for Student Leadership after hearing about it from my maths and science students. I noticed such a positive shift in their confidence that I had to find out more about the school they had attended. I also have a love for outdoor adventure, health and all things well-being.

In 2015 I took family leave from SSL, enjoying some time to have my kids and watch them grow. During this time away I also worked in a range of school settings, including special education, in a wellbeing role and again as a maths and science teacher.

Returning to The School for Student Leadership in 2025 has been just amazing. I feel very lucky, to yet again be a part of this unique program. It is very rewarding to see young people realise the value they have to offer and the amazing things they can achieve.

Outside of school I live with my husband, two children and a hairy dog with a red beard. I enjoy yoga, reading, walking my dog, snowboarding, cross country skiing and jumping in the ocean all year round!
