Jo Barton

Hi, I’m Jo. I’m a mother of three littlies, lover of all things outdoors: bike rider, gardener, traveller, music enthusiast, educator and learner. I’ve been at this school since 2014 but have been teaching in various states, countries, age ranges and subjects since 2007.

I completed a Masters of Counselling in 2017 to further support my work guiding and coaching young people to find their feet and fill their buckets with self-belief, confidence and compassion. That is the best part of my job and why I love what I do; witnessing young people push themselves physically, mentally and emotionally enabling them to flourish is a privilege often absent from the world of ‘grown ups’. I am very grateful for my front row seat during this period of their transformation at the SSL.
