Ian Harris

Experiencing, exploring and being active in the outdoors and in my community, makes me happy. Having been in education for over forty years, predominantly teaching Product Design and Technology and Surf Awareness, I continue to enjoy supporting student growth here at Gnurad-Gundidj campus.

My involvement in Surf Lifesaving and SES, as well as skills gained through building my house, growing my food, caring for animals and living in a variety of cultures overseas, underpins my interest in exposing students to a diverse range of creative, challenging, hands-on experiences and reflection that support them in developing into positive proactive members of their community.

Hanging out in beautiful coastal and bushland environments certainly make the best classrooms! It’s where my family grew up and where we still enjoy to catch up.
